Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown has been mired in a scandal of sorts regarding a fake Covid-19 vaccination card. Head coach Bruce Arians was vocal on the story that's started a firestorm of controversy around his player.

The Bucs head coach was adamant that there was “no story”, claiming that Brown is both vaccinated and in possession of a legitimate vax card.

“There is no story,” Arians told Rich Eisen. “Yeah, [Brown] says he’s vaccinated and has a card, just like everybody else on our football team. There’s a trust factor that goes along with it, and we did our due diligence on everybody. The league will look into the matter and do their due diligence, but it’s really no story.”

The issue arose after Brown's former chef accused him of soliciting a fake vaccination card for the Johnson & Johnson Covid-19 vaccine. The chef had reportedly had a falling out with the star after alleged debt amounting to $10,000 remained unpaid.

However, just as Bruce Arians stated, the Buccaneers have expressed in a statement that they had done their due diligence on the matter and that all their players are fully vaccinated with the corresponding documents to show it.
