According to a report from Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have made a roster move. One day after the NFC South franchise lost at home to the San Francisco 49ers, the Buccaneers have reportedly waived offensive tackle Caleb Benenoch.

Not only did Rapoport reveal that Benenoch has played his last down as a member of the Buccaneers, but the veteran NFL.com reporter also made a point to mention that the offensive tackle will draw interest on either the waiver wire or open market as a free agent — if he makes it that far.

“The Bucs have informed OT Caleb Benenoch that he’s being waived, source said,” writes Rapoport. “He’ll be on waivers tomorrow at 4 pm, and has former coaches with the Jaguars and the Falcons, while Titans GM Jon Robinson drafted him. He should generate real interest.”

The 25-year-old blocker stands at 6'5″ while weighing just over 300 pounds while both his size and strength will surely land him another job atop the highest level. Benenoch was selected by the Buccaneers in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL Draft out of UCLA while the aforementioned Robinson was notably a member of the Tampa Bay front office at the time.

While Benenoch will now be forced to move on from the franchise that originally drafted him out of UCLA a few years back, he did start 22 of his 35 regular season appearances with the Buccaneers. With more left in the tank, perhaps Benenoch can help a contender going forward.
