Chris Godwin has been one of the NFL's breakout stars so far this season for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After showing a lot of promise last year, Godwin has become a lethal weapon for Jameis Winston. This week, Godwin has been dealing with injuries, but it appears that he should be good to go against the Los Angeles Rams.

According to a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter, Godwin is expected to play this week despite dealing with a hip injury. Tampa Bay will need all of the weapons they can get against the Rams.

Through three games this season with the Buccaneers, Godwin has caught 14 passes for 214 yards and two touchdowns. He has been a perfect compliment to superstar wide receiver Mike Evans. Tampa Bay has started the season off 1-2 thus far, but a big upset win over the Rams would be a huge step in the right direction.

Unfortunately for the Buccaneers, they are going to be relying heavily on their offense to have a big game. Bruce Arians has an offense full of talent, but the defensive side of the football will have issues slowing down Sean McVay's offense.

If the Buccaneers want to come out with a big-time win this week, they are going to have to do so by outscoring the Rams in a shootout. Godwin will have to play a big part in that effort.

Tampa Bay and Los Angeles will kick off at 4:05 p.m. EST in Los Angeles.
