It's been a gross season for the entire NFC South, however, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers made the most of it. After facing off against the Carolina Panthers in Week 18, Tampa Bay sneaks into the playoffs after clinching the division.

The Buccaneers' played a truly ugly game against the Panthers. Neither team looked good in this one, as both offenses failed to get anything going. But, someone had to win and Tampa Bay made sure it was them.

After this victory, the Buccaneers will focus on the playoffs. They'll hold the fourth seed after clinching the NFC South. Although, the projected five-seed Philadelphia Eagles or Dallas Cowboys have a much better record. But hey, Tampa Bay is in the postseason and that's all that matters!

Baker Mayfield didn't look too bad out there on Sunday. But he also failed to surpass 200 passing yards or throw a touchdown. The defense saved the day though. Especially Antoine Winfield Jr. who knocked the football loose and prevented the Panthers from scoring. It was a brilliant play by the Buccaneers' superstar safety and it may have what gave Tampa Bay the victory.

We'll see how the Buccaneers fair in the playoffs. They'll have a chance to prove the haters wrong. We've seen underdogs perform well in the postseason before. Remember that six-seed New York Giants team that went on a miracle run and upset Tom Brady and the undefeated New England Patriots? Anything can happen in the playoffs and Tampa Bay has a fighting chance.

As for the Panthers, their future is currently bleak. They don't have their first round pick after trading it away to the Chicago Bears in a package for Bryce Young. Carolina will also be searching for a new head coach and general manager.
