The Tampa Bay Buccaneers had quite an eventful offseason. First, star quarterback Tom Brady announced his retirement, only to be followed by weeks of speculation about his eventual return. Well, Brady did ultimately return after a short-lived retirement, announcing his intent to return for the 2022 season. Then, head coach Bruce Arians retired from coaching and opted for a front-office role instead. Given the emotional roller-coaster of the offseason, Buccaneers fans could use a laugh. Well Brady and offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs have provided just that. Wirfs, who was drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, didn't have the star quarterback's phone number for two years. The talented offensive tackle finally got Brady's digits in the most hilarious way possible.

After the Buccaneers' Twitter account campaigned for Wirfs getting Brady's number- and likely after the star quarterback heard it in his Twitter mentions- the tackle received a text message.
Only, it wasn't what Wirfs expected. The message started out by warning the Buccaneers lineman about his car's extended warranty, with Brady then interjecting and saying that his teammate's car was fine, and it was him.
Brady is the best quarterback to ever play the game on the field and is pretty good at playing pranks off of it. One can imagine Wirfs panicking at first seeing the Tampa Bay area code on the number, only to see the second message come in and realize that it was Brady on the other end.
Just a hilarious moment all-around. Well-played by the GOAT. Shout-out to Wirfs for finally getting Brady's number.
