Quarterback Tom Brady is a future Hall of Famer. However, he finds himself in new territory this year, as he is on a new team for the first time in his career. How is he handling his new position with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers?

Well, there are reports of a supposed “rift” between Brady and his new head coach Bruce Arians. According to Greg Auman of The Athletic on Twitter though, Brady attempted to end that rift.

““He’s the coach. I’m a player. We’re trying to win a game,” Brady said, via Greg Auman of The Athletic.”

There were quite a few rumors and reports about Tom Brady and head coach Bill Belichick having arguments when he was with the New England Patriots. And it appears those types of rumors are following him to Tampa Bay.

It's pretty wild that it only took one week (a loss to the New Orleans Saints) for these reports to start flying around.

This one seems pretty tame though. It really is more just a case of everyone wondering how Brady is going to take the criticism.

And it seems like he is going to take it fine. To his credit, the quarterback was pretty harsh on himself for his Week 1 performance. It was certainly far from terrible, but it did see some uncharacteristically bad play and two interceptions from Brady.

Now the question is, how will he and the team respond?

Will Tom Brady get down on himself or have issues with his coach calling him out? Could that lead to more rifts?

What about the team? Are they going to feel uncomfortable or feel the need to pick a side? Can they figure it out and play well together, or is there some lost confidence in the locker room already?

Of course, you have to wonder about Arians too. Obviously, as an NFL coach, you are dealing with a lot of players. But not many have the aura of Brady. Is that going to be a problem for Arians? It seems like he has no problem calling out his quarterback. But will he be able to hold his ground and remain in charge? Or will he lose the locker room?

A lot of questions come out of a small rift. That's why it is so important to know the details and see how everyone is reacting. Because with pieces this combustible, things can go very right or very wrong in a short amount of time.
