Buccaneers QB Tom Brady drops bomb on Rob Gronkowski on playing until he’s 50
Tampa Bay Buccaneers star quarterback Tom Brady continues to defy all odds at the age of 44. Frankly, it’s crazy that he’s still winning Super Bowls and dominating in the NFL at this point in his career.
What everyone wants to know is how much longer Brady will play. Well, the Buccaneers QB sat down with Rob Gronkowski and answered that question on Thursday. 50 is the golden number:

Is he getting ahead of himself? I mean, that’s another six years of taking a beating in the NFL, even though he barely gets sacked. Nonetheless, the body breaks down pretty quickly when you get older.
After all, he just rolled into Tampa and led the Buccaneers to a championship last season and didn’t exactly miss a beat in Week 1, putting up 31 points on the Dallas Cowboys. To be honest, though, it’s not totally out of the question that TB12 can do it. Aside from a knee injury in the offseason, he’s still pretty healthy and hasn’t shown any signs of slowing down.
Imagine a 50-year-old playing professional football still. Now that would be crazy. Tom Brady seems confident that it can be done, but only time will tell. By saying he can just “slide into retirement” because Florida is basically a retirement state also hints that he plans to finish out his career with the Buccaneers. They will be delighted to hear that.
