Ndamukong Suh had one primary reason for re-signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: that would be none other than Tom Brady.

According to Peter King of NBC Sports, the veteran defensive tackle re-signed with the Buccaneers due to the addition of Brady.

“I think the first signing that illustrates how much a player wanted to play with Tom Brady was Ndamukong Suh’s one-year, $8-million deal with the Bucs. One team talking with Suh believes playing with Brady was the tipping point in Tampa Bay’s favor.”

The line of thinking makes sense. Brady is not only the most accomplished player in the NFL, but he's the most accomplished player in NFL history. He's a six-time Super Bowl champion who has never had a losing record as a starting quarterback. His teams have won division titles every year he's been healthy with the exception of the 2002 season.

Suh Is Still Playing For First Super Bowl Ring

On the other hand, Suh has yet to even win a Super Bowl. His 2018 Los Angeles Rams fell short against the Patriots in the Super Bowl. Outside of that campaign, the Buccaneers defensive tackle has been to the playoffs just twice in his career.

In other words, the prospect of playing with an accomplished QB like Brady is a major selling point. It gives Suh his best chance of winning a Super Bowl. Considering he's 33 years of age, the former Pro Bowl defensive tackle doesn't exactly have all of the time in the world.

The impact of Brady's signing was almost immediately felt in Tampa Bay. It had been reported that players were making calls to the Buccaneers wanting to be a part of their team. Why? All because of the addition of Brady.

The impact of the 42-year-old quarterback is being felt elsewhere. That would be due to the fact that season tickets and merchandise are selling in mass numbers due to the addition of the three-time MVP.

The TB12 is in full effect, indeed.
