Brook Lopez says he would “absolutely love to come back” to the Milwaukee Bucks next season.

Lopez becomes an unrestricted free agent this summer. The 7-footer enjoyed a career-year shooting the ball in 2018-19 with the Bucks.

In 81 games during the regular season, Lopez averaged 12.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per contest. The 31-year-old shot 45.2 percent from the field, 36.5 percent from beyond the arc and 84.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Lopez made 512 3-pointers this season for the Bucks. Milwaukee will probably have to overpay to keep Lopez since he'll likely garner a lot of interest on the open market. Lopez made $3,382,000 this season.

Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo and point guard Eric Bledsoe are two of the best slashers in the NBA. Lopez's ability to stretch the floor and bring his defender out to the perimeter creates more driving lanes for Antetokounmpo and Bledsoe.

The Bucks had the best record in the league this season. They took a 2-0 series lead against the Toronto Raptors in the Eastern Conference Finals, but lost four straight to end the series. Along with small forward Khris Middleton, re-signing Lopez this summer figures to be a priority for the Bucks. General manager Jon Horst did a great job building the team this season. Now, he has to go into his pockets to keep the core together.
