The Milwaukee Bucks are coming off a truly impressive season that ended short of their goal of winning the NBA Finals.

One way that reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo plans to improve the team is by personally becoming a more vocal leader.

“Mostly, you just gotta be more vocal,” Antetokounmpo said, via Keith Jenkins of The Courier. “You gotta lead by example. You gotta be able to accept criticism by your coach, by your teammates, and be OK with it. That's what a leader does. I know that my team knows who I am. They trust me. They know I'm going to put my body and everything I have on the line for this team. By doing that, everything else will take care of itself.”

Antetokounmpo understands that everyone needs to be on the same page to increase the Bucks' chances of winning the title. That includes having a focus on short-term outcomes in order to achieve their ultimate goal.

“We are going to have the same hunger, but what I want to say is: the Eastern Conference Finals, I’m not going to lie, it’s like six, seven months away from now. It’s about tomorrow. It’s about how can we get better tomorrow,” Antetokounmpo said, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic.

The upcoming season appears to be primed for an Eastern Conference Finals showdown between the Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers, especially with Kawhi Leonard departing to the Western Conference.

In the meantime, Giannis Antetokounmpo will be doing his best to push his Bucks teammates on a daily basis.
