The Milwaukee Bucks officially got eliminated from title contention on Tuesday following their 94-103 defeat at the hands of the underdog Miami Heat in Game 5. With the loss, most pundits believe that superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo's days as a Buck are now numbered.

Unable to suit up on Tuesday due to an ankle injury he suffered in the first half of Game 4, The Greek Freak surprisingly shared some optimistic views which is certainly terrific news for the entire state of Wisconsin, per Tim Bontemps of ESPN.

Although Antetokounmpo won't become a free agent until after the 2020-21 season, he will be eligible for a supermax contract with the Bucks at the beginning of the campaign. All bets are off if Giannis Antetokounmpo decides to decline that extension and will certainly send out a ripple effect in the entire league. The Bucks remain adamant that they are not trading their superstar if he refuses to extend.

But judging by the reigning MVP's post-game remarks, it seems that his heart remains in Milwaukee. Despite the Bucks' inability to once again come out of the Eastern Conference for the second-straight season, it seems Antetokounmpo still wants to give it a go next season and has no indications of demanding a trade.

The fact that he used the word “we” when describing the Bucks' championship hopes next year is indeed a good sign for the franchise. However, a lot can happen in the coming months. Multiple teams are reportedly on the lookout already in the event that Giannis shows even a hint of displeasure with his current situation.
