The Milwaukee Bucks were well represented in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game by stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Khris Middleton. The teammates were on separate teams for the star-studded event, and Antetokounmpo came out victorious. Despite the big win, it's safe to say that meeting his idol was Giannis's favorite part of the weekend.

The Bucks tweeted the wholesome interaction between Antetokounmpo and NBA legend Allen Iverson Tuesday morning. The Bucks MVP was star-struck and had nothing but praise for AI.

“I started playing basketball because of you…I don't want to bother you, I just wanted to tell you that,” the Bucks' power forward said. He told Iverson that he watched his documentary and followed his story.

6'11 Antetokounmpo towered over 6 foot Iverson as he explained the impact the Philadelphia 76ers legend had on him.

“You said ‘I play basketball because of MJ.' I started playing basketball because of you.”

From Michael Jordan to Allen Iverson to Giannis Antetokounmpo, legends inspire legends. It's only a matter of time before the next All-Star enters the league and tells Giannis that he started playing basketball because of him.

Antetokounmpo also expressed his admiration for Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki during All-Star Weekend.

The Bucks star is having yet another season to celebrate and idolize. He averages 29.4 points, 6 assists, and 11.4 rebounds each game. He leads the team in both points and assists. Milwaukee is fourth in the Eastern Conference with a winning record of 37-25.
