Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is getting killed by NBA guys for not guarding Miami Heat star small forward Jimmy Butler in Game 1 on Monday.

Butler scored 40 points and was unstoppable all game. Bucks fans couldn't understand why Antetokounmpo wasn't guarding Butler, especially since he was named the 2020 Defensive Player of the Year.

Antetokounmpo was the recipient of some shots from a few NBA guys on social media for his lack of assertiveness in wanting to defend Butler.

Ideally, Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer should have put Giannis Antetokounmpo on Jimmy Butler to start the game. Milwaukee supporters are praying Giannis will stick to Jimmy in Game 2 so Butler doesn't go off again.

The Bucks have a history of losing Game 1s but then bouncing back well. In the second round of the 2019 playoffs, Milwaukee lost their opener to the Boston Celtics before winning four straight. The team also beat the Orlando Magic in this year's playoff in Round 1 after losing Game 1.

With that said, the Bucks are clearly confident they can win Game 2 and the overall series against the Heat. However, that's only going to happen if Giannis guards Butler moving forward and plays better on offense. The reigning MVP only scored 18 points in 37 minutes in the Game 1 loss and was putrid in the fourth quarter.
