The Boston Celtics closed out the series with a magnificent performance in Game 7 against the Milwaukee Bucks. It was a hard-fought battle for both teams, but in the end, Milwaukee just didn't have the firepower to advance in the NBA Playoffs. Now, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday weight on Khris Middleton missing from the lineup.

According to ESPN, Antetokounmpo and Holiday missed Middleton dearly. He's the second scoring option behind The Greek Freak. Those buckets were not available for the Bucks, which allowed the Celtics to close out the series completely. Jrue Holiday claims, “We could've used [Middleton], definitely could've used him. He makes big shots and big plays on both ends, but especially offensively.”

Giannis Antetokounmpo didn't want to create an excuse as to why the Bucks lost to the Celtics. Obviously, Milwaukee would have greatly benefited with Khris Middleton on the court, but that's just not how it played out. Antetokounmpo goes on to say, “obviously we weren't trying to make excuses. I think everybody went out there to compete and give everything they have. That's what we did from Game 3 against Chicago to Game 7 against Boston. If we had [Middleton], maybe it would've been a different story. But we didn't,” per ESPN.

Now, the 2021 NBA Champions are knocked out of the playoffs and will not be repeating for another title. Instead, the Celtics advance to take on the Miami Heat. The Bucks will go on vacation and watch the remainder of the postseason with the rest of us. Hopefully, Milwaukee will have another crack at a championship next year.
