NBA commissioner Adam Silver has been working relentlessly to find a resolution to resume the 2019-20 NBA season. According to the Athletic, parties came up with a mid-June return as a possible timeline. However, the decision will ultimately come down to doctors and health officials. Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has recently spoken out about the NBA season possibly resuming.

In a recent conference call with Milwaukee media, Antetokounmpo revealed his expectations if the season does resume.

“First of all, you have to stay ready. You’ve got to do what you’ve got to do to stay ready, because you never know what you’re going to expect. I think the league and Adam Silver are doing a difficult job and will come up with a good plan that will make sure every player is ready to go, because it’s going to be really important when the season starts, because I think most of the guys aren’t going to be ready and you can get a lot of injuries. I know the NBA is going to come out with a great plan to make sure that the teams, the players, everybody is ready to go.”

Before the season was suspended, the Bucks were atop the Eastern Conference with a record of  53-12. Antetokounmpo was having an MVP caliber season, averaging 25.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 5.8 assists in 30.9 minutes per game. The 25-year-old was also shooting 54 percent from the field and 30 percent from behind the arc.
Nevertheless, if the season doesn't resume, it'll be tough for many players to accept an incomplete ending.
