Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the top players in the NBA, but he is just scratching the surface of what he can be in the league. He has had no problems still having the drive to get better, and the big reason is that he wants to win the MVP award soon.

“It’s a goal that makes me work hard every single day. You can only win this award if you do your best. An example is LeBron who has made his teammates better, even if he was not in the best team. The same thing goes for James Harden. You have to win games and make your teammates better if you want to win it.”

there is no question how special Giannis is, but at times there have been some questions about how much better he makes his teammates. For the Bucks to take the next step forward, it's something he's really going to have to do. The Bucks have a real chance to take a big step forward in a wide-open Eastern Conference, but for it to happen, Giannis is going to have to play like an MVP candidate.

Last year he played in 75 games averaging 26.9 points, 10 rebounds, and 4.8 assists. This year he needs to work on doing a bit more passing of the rock, and if he does that, the Bucks have a chance to take advantage of the East.

If the team can finish in the top three of the conference, and Giannis improves on his stats from last year, look for him to compete for the MVP.
