By this time, it has become quite evident that Giannis Antetokounmpo is built different. He's not like the typical NBA superstars today, who get all chummy with rivals and look to make the lucrative leap to a super team or a big market squad. For Giannis, loyalty is still everything.

After bowing out of the NBA Bubble last season, the two-time MVP found himself mired in numerous rumors of him leaving the Milwaukee Bucks in hopes of winning his first NBA title. He had every right to do so, especially these days in the age of athlete empowerment.

But Giannis chose to stay with the Bucks because there was still unfinished business. He also never forgets the opportunity the Bucks gave him since drafting him 15th overall in 2013. After finally winning the NBA title on Tuesday, one of Giannis' old blog posts during his rookie year resurfaced, showing how grateful he is to play for the Bucks (via NBA on ESPN).

After Game 6, the 26-year-old Giannis, clutching the Larry O'Brien trophy and the NBA Finals MVP plum, boldly said he could've easily jumped to a super team and take the easy route. Be he didn't. He chose to stuck with the Bucks and do it the old school way: Suck, rebuild, and win.

He may have doubted his place in the NBA when he was still an unknown lanky teenager from Greece. But eight years later, there's really no more doubting this—not that it needs to be reminded: Giannis Antetokounmpo is built different.
