Milwaukee Bucks MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo may be just 24 years of age, but he has already become one of the most determined leaders and fiercest competitors in the NBA.

From guiding the Bucks to the best regular-season record in the league to being named captain of one of the All-Star teams, Antetokounmpo's maturity has been on full display this season. He has stated his desire to be the best player in the game, all the while decrying the idea of teaming up with other superstars to chase rings.

That same dogged approach to the game has garnered the respect of his veteran teammates, who understand that Giannis' work ethic is what makes him such an exceptional player and leader in the Milwaukee locker room.

In an article by Jonathan Abrams of Bleacher Report, teammate and fellow All-Star Khris Middleton explained how Antetokounmpo sets the example for the rest of the team:

Middleton explains Antetokounmpo’s style succinctly: “He puts his work in, before practice, after practice. He’s in the weight room all the time. Guys see that. You’ve got one of the best players in the league, here doing that all the time, you’re going to follow.”

In fact, Giannis' workout routines have become the stuff of legends. His offseason lifting program with teammate Pat Connaughton became an Instagram fixture, even reaching the point of competitiveness between the two players.

Whereas teams like the Warriors and Blazers rely on multiple stars, the Bucks have an assortment of team players, all following Antetokounmpo's lead.
