Khris Middleton out for Bucks vs. Mavs, says it’s load management
The Milwaukee Bucks will be looking to extend their winning streak to six with a matchup tonight versus the Dallas Mavericks. Unfortunately, they will have to find a way to do it without swingman Khris Middleton.
It is no secret that Khris Middleton has taken on an integral role in Milwaukee’s success in the 2018-19 NBA season. However, according to Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, he will sit out against the Mavs for rest purposes.
Khris Middleton says he was told he is not playing tonight in Dallas. He said there’s nothing wrong with him. More of a load management type of situation.

There is no question that the Bucks have been one of the most surprising teams in the league this season, as they currently lead the NBA with a 40-13 record. Forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is in the midst of an MVP-caliber year, but Milwaukee has also been able to enjoy the emergence of another star player in Middleton.
He has long been known as a deadly 3-point shooter. Fortunately, Middleton has been able to add to his game this season and is currently averaging 17.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game. His performance this season earned him a trip to this year’s All-Star Game in Charlotte where he will play alongside Giannis.
Milwaukee’s decision to rest Middleton versus the Mavs could be due to the fact that he will be taking part in the upcoming festivities this weekend. Although the Bucks are happy to be well-represented at the All-star Game, their ultimate goal will be keeping their players as fresh as possible coming out of the break.
