Milwaukee Bucks stud Khris Middleton is set to become one of the most sought-after free agents this summer. The 27-year-old is currently in the fourth year of his five-year, $70 million deal, but the fact that he has a player option for next season means that he can opt out of his contract this summer in order to sign a bigger deal.

When asked about his future, the 6-foot-8 swingman refused to discuss his plans for the offseason, stating that he remains focused on this season and his team's immediate goals:

“I’ll think about the summertime in the summertime,” said Middleton, via Bucks beat reporter Matt Velazquez. “We have a lot more work to do, hopefully. The second half of the season is going to be tough. We’ve been playing great basketball, so that’s the only thing I’m worried about.”

Middleton featured in his first ever All-Star Game on Sunday, and he ended up as a significant contributor for Team Giannis. The Former NBA G League standout notched 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting, while also adding on six 3-pointers, five rebounds, and four assists. It was, however, in a losing effort as Team LeBron emerged as the victors, 178-164.

Despite the festive mood of the weekend, Middleton obviously still hasn't lost sight of the important things. The Bucks are currently the top team in the league right now, but he understands that this means nothing come playoff time.

Nevertheless, Khris Middleton appears to have the right mindset, and with this in place, success will surely come regardless of his decision come July.
