Milwaukee Bucks head coach Mike Budenholzer provided some good news for Bucks fans, stating that All-Star Khris Middleton should return to action Wednesday vs the Los Angeles Lakers.

Khris Middleton has been out of action since October 30th after testing positive for COVID-19. Since he has been out, the Bucks have struggled. They are 3-5 in the eight games he did not play in, leaving them at 6-8 on the young season. That places them 11th in the Eastern Conference.

The Bucks have especially struggled on the offensive end, failing to surpass 100 points in four of the eight missed games.

Middleton is coming off another outstanding season where he average over 20 points, six rebounds and five assists per game for the Bucks. He is the prototypical premier #2 option behind two time NBA League MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo.

The injury bug has hit Milwaukee pretty hard early in the season. Middleton, Bobby Portis, Jrue Holiday, Brook Lopez and Donte DiVenicenzo have all missed a chunk of the season thus far. That has led to Antetokounmpo having to carry even more of the load.

Coach Budenholzer mentioned bringing Middleton along slowly as he comes back from COVID. The good news for the Bucks is that their upcoming schedule should allow them to climb back into the thick of things in the deep Eastern Conference.

Following Wednesday's game at home vs the Lakers, Milwaukee gets Oklahoma City, Orlando twice, and then Detroit to finish off the five game home stand. That should allow Middleton some time to get back into game shape before the schedule gets a little more difficult.
