Looks like Joel Embiid is happy the Milwaukee Bucks didn't draft him with the second overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft.

Per Yaron Weitzman of Bleacher Report, Embiid told his agent back in 2014 that Milwaukee was “corny.”

The Bucks, meanwhile, had locked in on Parker, another Tellem client, at No. 2, and anyway, Embiid had no interest in playing there. “That place is corny,” he told Nyam.

The Bucks wound up taking Jabari Parker out of Duke with the second pick after the Cleveland Cavaliers selected Andrew Wiggins number one.

The Philadelphia 76ers drafted Embiid, who missed the first two seasons of his NBA career due to his foot injury. Parker didn't turn out to be the superstar the Bucks thought he was going to be. Jabari tore his ACL twice with Milwaukee. He's since played for the Chicago Bulls, Washington Wizards, Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings.

It is fun to speculate who lethal the Bucks would be right now if they had Giannis Antetokounmpo and Joel Embiid on the same team. However, it's more special to watch the two All-Stars compete against each other.

If the 2019-20 NBA season resumes, the Bucks and Sixers could meet in the playoffs. The Bucks lost to the Toronto Raptors in last year's Eastern Conference Finals, while the Sixers were bounced in the second by the Raptors after Kawhi Leonard hit the shot of the decade.
