Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo will define matchups between the Philadelphia 76ers and Milwaukee Bucks for years to come. And unlike many superstars, each is equipped with enough defensive ability to occasionally guard the other. As such, the basketball world will be treated to countless moments going forward of Embiid and Antetokounmpo going truly mano a mono.

On Thursday night, it was the Bucks' franchise player who got the best of his Sixers counterpart. After taking an inverted ball screen from J.J. Redick, Embiid turned the corner thinking he was en route to an uncontested dunk. But Antetokounmpo, guarding Ben Simmons one pass away, had other ideas.

Wow.

Embiid, by the way, is lucky to have avoided injury here. He suffered from noticeable back pain in January, ultimately electing to play through the discomfort despite a history of back issues dating to his lone season as the University of Kansas.

Falling on the small of your back is always suboptimal, but especially when you're over seven feet tall and pushing 275 pounds. Needless to say, fans across the globe breathed a sigh of relief when Embiid got to his feet, unhurt save for his pride.

The Sixers, playing without Jimmy Butler, hold a slim lead over the Bucks late in the third quarter.
