On Friday night, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo learned a thing or two about taking the good and the bad in the NBA.
Late in the second quarter of the Bucks’ preseason matchup with the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, Antetokounmpo raced down the floor with the ball and made Timberwolves big man Gorgui Dieng look like a deer in his headlights by throwing down a lefty jam right in the face of the Senegalese.

The savagery didn’t end there for Giannis Antetokounmpo. With his adrenaline running high following that dunk, the Greek Freak taunted Gorgui Dieng, staring down at his aerial victim after just including him in his poster. Unfortunately for the Bucks superstar, the long arm of the NBA law didn’t let him get away with his on-court antics, as he was whistled with a technical foul.
A technical foul in a preseason game is probably one of the most pointless things in the NBA not to mention that it sometimes takes away the fun in the game.
No one’s going to remember years from now that Giannis Antetokounmpo got called for a technical on an October Friday night, but his throwdown on Gorgui Dieng will live forever on his highlight reel that continues to grow the longer his career goes in the NBA.
