The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have quickly seen their season head south after officially being eliminated from the playoffs after a 24-21 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon.

However, the organization looks to have much bigger problems on its hands internally with quarterback Jameis Winston and head coach Dirk Koetter reportedly not seeing eye to eye, according to Ian Rapport of NFL Network.

“I am told the relationship between quarterback Jameis Winston and Koetter is not in a good place. There is definitely some tension there. There reason why is two-fold. One, Winston didn't feel fully supports as relates to his injury. People didn't know what he was playing through and how that contributed to his performance. Then there are questions about how predictable the offense is. That is a situation to keep an eye on moving forward.”

The Bucs have failed to make the playoffs in the first two years under Koetter while Winston has struggled to show any promising progression in his development. He has continued to deal with nagging injuries while his play has hit the proverbial wall.

This internal issue could lead to much change ahead over the offense with the Bucs falling well short of the playoffs once again. The addition of Koetter was supposed to help Winston develop into a legitimate franchise quarterback that can lead the team to success.

All of this could lead to much change in the offseason in order to jumpstart the organization in the right direction. Until then, there are three more games left in the regular season for the Buccaneers to feel out what changes need to be made.
