Chicago Bulls rookie point guard Coby White recently attended Dwyane Wade’s “The Invitational” camp, a week-long event at which the former Heat star helps mentor young NBA talent on and off the court.

White, the seventh overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, says being around Wade and other NBA players was really good for him. The youngster also claims Wade's business mind is “crazy.”

“I think it was more for me getting better being around a lot of talented guys,” White told But also off the court, D-Wade’s business mind is crazy. So just to take away and learn from him on and off the court was key for me.”

So many players in NBA history have blown all of their money in a short amount of time because they got bad investment advice. Dwyane Wade wants to make sure the next wave of talent doesn't make that mistake.

The Bulls are counting on Coby White to push Kris Dunn in practice so Chicago has strong point guard depth next season. Last year at UNC, White averaged 16.1 points, 3.5 rebounds and 4.1 assists while shooting 42.3 percent from the field, 35.3 percent from beyond the arc and 80.0 percent from the free-throw line.

During Summer League in Las Vegas for the Bulls, White put up 15.0 points, 5.6 rebounds and 4.8 assists. He struggled with his shooting, as White shot just 33.7 percent from the floor and just 10 percent from the 3-point line.

White does most of his damage at the rim and in transition. He’s a blur in the open court and impossible to stay in front of. The Bulls are anxious and excited to see what White can do in his rookie season.
