DeMar DeRozan isn't keen on feeling complacent heading to the All-Star break. That's why he continues to ball out for the Chicago Bulls in their recent assignments, leading the team to a 121-109 win over the skidding Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night.

The Bulls are now just one game behind the Miami Heat for the top record in the Eastern Conference. Despite a slew of injuries, including to key guys Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso, the Bulls have kept charging, banking on their unmistakable chemistry on both ends.

But that solid chemistry might be challenged, as backup guard Coby White continues to find himself linked to rumors ahead of the NBA trade deadline. But according to ESPN, the Bulls spark plug said he's trying not to be too bothered by the whispers.

“It's not something I can control. I obviously love this team and we have a chance to be special, so it gives me an edge at the end of the day.”

Safe to assume, DeRozan is also aware of the rumors, and it could be a touchy topic inside the locker room. But the MVP candidate said he's just focused on helping the Bulls get more wins as they head to a much-needed respite, even if the NBA trade deadline adds to the stress.

“I'm just trying to finish this thing off going into the (All-Star) break. I understand how critical these games are. It's a big opportunity for us to take advantage of these last few games. That's been my mindset.”

The Bulls improved to 34-21 and will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Friday.
