The Chicago Bulls have done little to prove that they are not among the worst teams in the 2017-18 NBA season. That was up until a week ago when they started their current five-game winning streak.

Up to that point, they had just been a rebuilding team looking forward to potentially building through future drafts. However, they have now made bittersweet NBA history by becoming the first team ever to go on such a win streak following 10 consecutive losses, according to the Elias Sports Bureau:

The Bulls just became the first team in NBA history to follow up a 10-game losing streak or longer with a winning streak of 5 games or more

Although the record itself represents the team's struggles it has endured this season, it also shows the promise of true potential for such a young squad. That said, their win streak does not seem to be a coincidence.

Power forward Nikola Mirotic recently made headlines after confirming his prediction that the Bulls would go on a solid run upon his return. He delivered once again versus the Milwaukee Bucks with 22 points and eight rebounds.

It is clear that Mirotic is not the sole reason for the Bulls' recent play. However, his performance is reminiscent of a healthy locker room amidst all the turmoil that preceded.
