Before they became official teammates on the Chicago Bulls, Toni Kukoc played against Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. And sure enough, Kukoc won't forget that experience.

Kukoc's Croatia faced the so-called USA Basketball Dream Team headed by Jordan and Pippen during the gold medal game of the tournament. Everyone knows what happened after, as Team USA completely dominated the contest, 117-85, to cement the nation's dominance in basketball.

Now during his Hall of Fame speech on Saturday, Kukoc reflected on the ass-kicking he received from Jordan and Co. He then thanked the Bulls duo for pushing him to become an integral part of Chicago during their championship run in the mid-90s.

“I would like to thank Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen for kicking my butt during the Olympics in Barcelona, and then motivating me to work even harder to become an important part of the Chicago Bulls,” Kukoc said to the laughter of the audience.

Toni Kukoc was drafted by the Bulls in the second round of the 1990 NBA Draft. Nonetheless, it wasn't until 1993 when he joined the team. At the time, the team just lost Michael Jordan to retirement, so Kukoc had to wait until 1995 to play with his Airness.

While Kukoc recently admitted that Jordan wasn't the best teammate during their time with the Bulls, he did say that he motivated the whole team to work harder in his own way.

Sure enough, it looks like MJ's competitiveness and mentality to go all-out even in practice had a massive influence on his Bulls teammates.
