The Chicago Bulls have been one of the surprise teams of the year thus far. Sitting in sixth place as of this article, Chicago is aiming for a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

Zach LaVine shared his thoughts on the young Bulls roster after a tremendous win Wednesday night against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

“We have a lot of potential. We can be a lot better. At the end of the day, we got the win. And we are where we are in the standings. But we can’t let that dictate how we play. We have to live up to how good we can be.”

LaVine is currently leading this Bulls team through the season. Having a career year so far, LaVine is averaging 28.6 points, 5.1 assists, and 5.4 rebounds per game. He has a great supporting cast around him as well, with Coby White, Wendell Carter Jr., and Patrick Williams, the Bulls future is looking bright.

It's been quite some time for Chicago to regain some of that spotlight since the departure of Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Through the years, the franchise has had its share of potential superstars who didn't quite pan out. Derrick Rose could have been that guy, but due to multiple serious injuries to his knees, he wasn't able to live to his full potential in Chicago.

Now, with Zach LaVine playing like a superstar, the Bulls fan base has something to lean on. Even better news, LaVine is only 25 years old. Technically, he hasn't even reached his full potential yet, which bodes well for the Bulls' future success.

Chicago's next game will be on Friday, February 26th, where they will take on another young team in the Phoenix Suns. This one should be electric, as Devin Booker is a similarly dynamic young All-Star as well.
