Heads up! Early in the first quarter of Wednesday night's game between the Chicago Bulls and the defending champion Golden State WarriorsLauri Markkanen was able to hunker down on defense and block a shot from Stephen Curry. The most catchy part of it? The ball came straight back down to hit Curry square in the head.

A video of the funny play with Markkanen and Curry, which was immediately posted to the Chicago Bulls' official Twitter account, can be viewed below.

It looked like Curry and the Warriors bench at least got a kick out of it, as Curry didn't suffer any facial injuries because of the play. All part of the game, as they say.

The Bulls are certainly taking advantage of the Warriors' defensive liabilities tonight, as Chicago came out and dropped a whopping 40 points on Golden State in the first quarter at United Center.

The Warriors were already without star power forward Draymond Green (sore right shoulder) and small forward Andre Iguodala (left calf contusion) on Wednesday night, but also lost rookie forward Jordan Bell within the first minute of the game to a potentially serious left leg injury he suffered while contesting a dunk from Bulls center Robin Lopez.

The Bulls, who are 17-27 and in search of their fourth straight victory, maintained a 66-63 advantage over the Warriors at halftime. Lopez and power forward Nikola Mirotic each had 12 points for Chicago, while Curry led all scorers at the half with 19 points, six rebounds, and four assists.
