Everson Griffen remains in free agency and he appears to be drumming up some interest from multiple teams. According to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, the Arizona Cardinals are interested in signing Griffen this offseason.

Earlier this offseason, the Minnesota Vikings and Griffen decided to mutually part ways, making him a free agent. At first, the Vikings kept the door open for a possible return for Griffen.

But after seeing their current cap situation, it was evident that they weren't going to be able to retain him. Nevertheless, Griffen hasn't ruled out a scenario where he is playing with the Vikings next season.

With that being said, it seems likely that Griffen is poised to join a new team this offseason. While the Seattle Seahawks have shown interest, it's the Cardinals out of the NFC West that seem like a front runner to land Griffen in free agency.

Even at 32 years old last season, Griffen contributed eight sacks and 24 quarterback hits in Minnesota. There's no doubt that the former fourth-round pick still has something left in the tank.

For the Cardinals, they currently have Devon Kennard slated to be the linebacker opposite Chandler Jones. Jones is coming off of an All-Pro season with Arizona where he tallied a career-high 19 sacks and eight forced fumbles in 2019.

With the addition of DeAndre Hopkins coupled with the emergence of Kyler Murray, Arizona could make some noise in the NFC West next season. Being able to sign Griffen would cap off what has been quite the offseason for the new-look Cardinals.
