It's tough being Carmelo Anthony these days.
Following the New York Knicks‘ 102-90 season finale loss to the Indiana Pacers on Tuesday night, the team completed their third consecutive non-playoff season. The Knicks are currently at a crossroads as there have been reports that president Phil Jackson may leave the team.
Perhaps just as important as Jackson possibly leaving is the fact that the team doesn't seem to have any sort of plan moving forward. Anthony remains under contract with New York for three more years and is due $24.5 million for the 2016-17 season.

Before the Knicks lost their 50th game of the season on Tuesday, Anthony himself stated that he looks at the list of free agents every day, via Stefan Bondy of the New York Daily News:
With the Knicks undergoing another rebuilding process, expect Anthony to try and lure free agents to New York, similar to how LeBron James has brought in teammates by recruiting.
The bottom line is this—Anthony has a lot of recruiting to do to make the Knicks relevant again.
Kevin Durant is more than likely at the top of Melo's list, however it's a long shot to get KD in the Big Apple.
