Carmelo Anthony’s focus still on Rockets amid trade rumors
Ever since Kyrie Irving trade rumors leaked earlier this afternoon., The NBA world has been clamoring about where he may land. The young point guard knows he can become top dog with his talents on another team and escape playing under LeBron James‘ shadow, and Carmelo Anthony may just be that perfect piece to get a multi-trade deal going.
Amid the trade rumors surrounding Carmelo Anthony’s name, sources close to the 33-year-old Syracuse product have said he may not have as much interest in going to the Cleveland Cavaliers as everyone thinks.
A source close to Carmelo says his focus remains Houston. He must waive his no trade. Does he go to Cavs without Kyrie & LBJ gone in 2018?

There is no doubt that Anthony could have inevitable success if he managed to fit onto the Houston Rocket‘s team. Being surrounded by the likes of Chris Paul and James Harden could bring out the scoring powerhouse we saw in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. Likewise, he would face much less pressure as he would not have to be the lone proven superstar on his team anymore.
Unfortunately for Anthony, the Rockets do not have much to offer the New York Knicks to see a trade worth happening. As frustrating as it may be, Melo will likely have to don the blue, white, and orange again for the 2017-18 season.
