Amy Robach and TJ Holmes made headlines when photos of the former GMA3: What You Need to Know co-anchors suggested that they were in a romantic relationship in November 2022. Both anchors at the time were married and an announcement about a separation from their respective partners was not made. Now, according to sources, their exes Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are dating after they bonded over the experience of their partners dating one another.

In December 2022, the anchors were “temporarily removed” from their on-air duties due to the nature of their relationship. The following month it was announced that they would not be returning to their roles at ABC.

“After several productive conversations with Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes about different options, we all agreed it's best for everyone that they move on from ABC News. We recognize their talent and commitment over the years and are thankful for their contributions,” an ABC spokesperson said in a statement at the time.

The spokesperson adds: “A decision for new co-hosts [of GMA3 and 20/20] will come later.”

Amy Robach and TJ Holmes Launch Their Podcast

Robach and Holmes launched their podcast Amy and T.J. where they addressed the scandal and where they are now in their lives. The couple first clarified that when the photographs were taken they both were already in divorce proceedings with their partners and had no longer been living with them.

“November 30, 2022, was the day that we were, and this is very important we were outed…. To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers — being outed as cheating on our spouses — and it wasn’t the case because the odd thing is, the day those pictures were taken and the day that article was released, we both at that point were in divorce proceedings,” Holmes said.

“Yes, we had attorneys, mediators. We were in the middle of divorces,” Robach added.

The couple also spoke about leaving ABC and described themselves as”the folks who lost the jobs we love because we love each other.”

Holmes piggybacked off that statement adding that the podcast is”the first time we get to say what happened and where we are today.”

“In the end, all of us are always rooting for love,” she said. “It doesn’t always happen when you want it to happen. And it's undeniable when it’s real and it’s something you have to navigate and it’s not easy.”
