The Boston Celtics have had two days to sit on their home court loss to the Washington Wizards on Wednesday night. That gave them extra time to study film on what caused their demise in the 116-107 affair.

While containing Bradley Beal will still be key to avenging their defeat, Celtics coach Ime Udoka revealed that the team paid special attention to Wizards big man Montrezl Harrell.

Via Matt Weyrich of NBC Sports Boston:

“That’s how he’s built his reputation,” Udoka said. “He’s an extremely hard player, but he’s a monster on the glass so he was a big part of our film today with the effort and [our] lack of rebounding and just can’t let him impact the game the way he does. It wasn’t just us. I told the team he had 25 and 11 against us, 25 and 13 last night.”

Montrezl Harrell has arguably been the Wizards' best player through their first five games thus far. They were able to weather games without Beal and Spencer Dinwiddie, picking up victories in large part because of Trez's relentless energy.

He's averaged 19.2 points and 9.4 rebounds thus far and with starting center Daniel Gafford out once again, he figured to be a focal point in Washington's offensive attack against Boston.

“We worked on some things today,” Udoka continued. “I pointed out in the film today so it’s something that’s not unexpected and not caught off guard by it but you just have to match his intensity and bring the physicality back to him.”

The Celtics need to put their study into practice right away as the two teams face off again Saturday night
