Things were looking good for the Boston Celtics a few weeks ago. The team had just come off a 16-point victory over a good Toronto Raptors team on Christmas Day and were 23-8 going into the New Year. However, as far as 2020 goes, Boston has struggled. The Celtics are just 2-3 and have lost their last three games.
The team's recent struggles are frustrating for fans and pretty much everyone involved. Perhaps no one knows that better than Celtics General Manager Following the team's most recent loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, Ainge had this to say:
“Listen, I won’t be satisfied until we’re the best team in the NBA and I don’t see us as the best team in the NBA right now. But I like our team a lot. It’s a really fun team to be around. There’s a lot of hope; there’s a lot of growth and I’m excited for the rest of this year,” Ainge said per Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.

Boston now sits at 25-11 on the season, one game behind the Miami Heat for the Eastern Conference two seed and 6.5 games behind the Milwaukee Bucks for the top seed.
“Just because I don’t think we’re the best team in the NBA doesn’t mean that my players and my coaches don’t think they’re the best team in the NBA, which is way more important than what I think.”
The Celtics will have a chance to snap their losing streak on Saturday against the New Orleans Pelicans which marks the start of a much-needed three-game home stretch for Boston.
