Brand new Boston Celtics guard Kyrie Irving is quickly getting acquainted with his new teammates. He already has a fellow flat-earth truther in Jaylen Brown, and according to Scott Souza of GateHouse Media, he's called Jayson Tatum his “big, little brother” and is already a big fan of his game.

Upon closer examination, it sort of makes sense that Irving would consider Tatum a “little brother.” From what Tatum has shown in college and at summer league, he has the sort of game as a big-time one-on-one scorer which Irving has been during his time in the league and likely appreciates more than other players.

Tatum is quickly making fans out of some high-profile people. After Paul Pierce said Tatum was already a more mature version of himself, to have Kyrie calling him a “bad dude” is definitely high praise. The bar keeps getting set higher and higher for the rookie, and hopefully for the Celtics, Irving helps his little bro live up to the hype.
