Boston Celtics rookie forward Jayson Tatum is having quite a start to the work week. The former Duke Blue Devil played as though he’s worth every ounce of the hype he got entering his rookie season in the league Monday, when he scored 16 points, grabbed five rebounds, and made four assists to go with a block and a steal in 31 minutes of action against the Indiana Pacers.

Jayson Tatum also got the highlights to make this crazy game even more noteworthy. The Celtics rookie made two thundering dunks against the Pacers, one over Domantas Sabonis and another past Myles Turner and Victor Oladipo. Let’s also not forget the disrespectful block he administered on Darren Collison with some nasty language to top it all off.

Tatum was drafted by the Celtics third overall in this year’s NBA Draft, and it didn’t take him long to be acclimated to the rigors of NBA basketball. So far this season, the 19-year-old is averaging 13.8 points and 5.7 rebounds per game. He is also shooting an incredible 51.7 percent from behind the arc.

Jayson Tatum and the Celtics will look to build on the momentum of their victory over the Pacers, as they try to win their third game in a row Wednesday at home against the Miami Heat.
