The Los Angeles Chargers got a big win Sunday vs the New York Giants, 37-21. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert set an NFL record becoming the first player to throw for 30 or more touchdown passes in each of his first two seasons. He did that without the services of his top weapon, Keenan Allen, who was out with COVID-19.

Back up receivers Jalen Guyton and Joshua Palmer filled in nicely, each recording a receiving touchdown.

The Chargers play their most important game of the season this Thursday, hosting the division leading Kansas City Chiefs. Chargers fan can breathe a sigh of relief as news on Allen was revealed Tuesday.

Los Angeles has activated Keenan Allen off the COVID-19 list. He will be expected to suit up in the game Thursday night against the Chiefs.

That is a big addition for the Chargers. Los Angeles is 8-5 and one game behind the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chargers defeated the Chiefs earlier this season back in Week 3, 30-24. In that game, Keenan Allen had eight receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown.

Teammate and fellow wide receiver Mike Williams tore the Chiefs defense apart. He reeled in seven catches for 122 yards and two touchdowns. For the game, Justin Herbert threw four touchdowns and out-played Patrick Mahomes in Arrowhead Stadium.

That was the beginning of a lull for the Chiefs, who eventually fell to 3-4 on the season. Since then, they have won six straight games and have surprisingly been led by their defense. During their winning streak, the Chiefs are only giving up just over 10 points per game.

So, the Chargers are going to need every bit of offensive help they can get this week.
