According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, the Los Angeles Chargers will have Keenan Allen and Travis Benjamin active for their Week 4 matchup with the San Francisco 49ers. Rapoport reports that Allen is dealing with a tooth injury while Benjamin has some foot pain.

The Chargers are 1-2 after a 35-23 loss to the Los Angeles Rams last week. After their game with the 49ers this week, the Chargers will play the Raiders in Week 5. The NFL schedule has been kind by allowing them to play three consecutive California teams.

The 49ers are 1-2 as well and took a big hit when they lost Jimmy Garoppolo to a season-ending ACL tear against the Kansas City Chiefs. C.J. Beathard will be their starter this week, but they are continuing to shop around for a suitable vet.

Kennan Allen is the top receiver for the Chargers. He has recorded 17 receptions for 219 yards and a score this season. Meanwhile, Travis Benjamin has only recorded a single catch for 19 yards. Either way, the more options they have, the better.

Despite their record, Philip Rivers has a top ten quarterback rating in the NFL this season. His 906 passing yards rank him 7th in the NFL. He has also thrown for 8 touchdowns and a single interception. He's clearly made use of all the tools at his disposal well. He'll need more from his receivers moving forward to make it out of the NFC West.

The Chiefs are 3-0 and have one of the most explosive offenses in the NFL. The 2-1 Denver Broncos will battle the Chiefs this week. If the Chargers can top the 49ers, they could move into a tie for second in the division with the Broncos.
