The Las Vegas Raiders set themselves up for failure on Sunday with their pregame antics, choosing to walk all over the Chiefs' logo prior to kickoff. Well, the result wasn't pretty, with KC issuing a 48-9 smackdown of the Raiders. After the game, Andy Reid was asked what he thought about Las Vegas' pregame debauchery, and he downplayed any impact their actions had on his squad, via Aaron Ladd.

Reid didn't seem too concerned with the Raiders' pregame shenanigans, knowing all too well that the Chiefs would respond on the field. And respond they did, running up the score on their division rivals while clinching their sixth consecutive victory.

At some point, NFL teams will learn that giving their opponent bulletin board material ahead of a rivalry game is bound to backfire. The Raiders mark the latest example of a team just handing their opposition some free motivation, and then subsequently getting blown out in embarrassing fashion.

While Reid denies having paid it too much mind, you can be sure the Chiefs were playing with a chip on their shoulder in order to stick it to the Raiders, who also got a bit carried away with their celebrations following an upset victory at Arrowhead Stadium in 2020. If you thought the Chiefs had forgotten about their 2020 victory lap, you were vastly mistaken, as the Chiefs delivered a statement victory on Sunday afternoon.

The Raiders will surely think twice about getting overconfident in their pregame activities because the Chiefs got up early and did not take their foot off the gas until the game clock read triple zeroes.
