The New England Patriots will be the next team to get a chance to slow down the Kansas City Chiefs following their lopsided victory over the Baltimore Ravens. Ahead of the matchup between the Patriots and the Chiefs, Bill Belichick had glowing remarks for Patrick Mahomes.

“All the superlatives that have been said about him, I'd just be repeating them all,” Belichick said Tuesday morning after watching the Chiefs defeat the Baltimore Ravens by a 34-20 final just hours prior (via ESPN's Mike Reiss).

In the much-anticipated battle between Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, it was Mahomes who would emerge victorious on Monday night. The reigning Super Bowl MVP would throw for 385 yards and four touchdowns as Kansas City defeated Baltimore 34-20.

While putting together a remarkable performance, Patrick Mahomes created history by becoming the fastest player to reach 10,000 passing yards in his career. Mahomes only needed 34 games to achieve the record, supplanting Kurt Warner's previous record of 36 games.

When watching Mahomes play, it's obvious that he's on an entirely different level than everyone else — maybe besides Russell Wilson. In just three seasons, Mahomes has cemented himself as arguably the best quarterback in the NFL.

From his no-look passes to his down-the-field throws, Patrick Mahomes is must-watch television every single week. And for the first time in his career, Mahomes will be facing off against a Belichick-led team without Tom Brady under center.

At the least, fans should be in for another intriguing matchup between Mahomes and Cam Newton in Week 4. While New England's defense will have their hands full slowing down Mahomes, Belichick realizes the talent that Mahomes brings to the table.
