When it comes to brilliant and effective NFL coaches, it's difficult to top Bill Belichick. His teams have won 6 Super Bowls and he may be the best coach in NFL history. However, when it comes to the most recent seasons, many observers would rank Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid as the best in the business.

The Chiefs are the defending Super Bowl champions and they have won 2 of the last 4 championship games. Reid has built a dynamic partnership with quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and his teams have managed to stay at or near the top of the league even though the Chiefs don't have one of the league's more dominating defenses.

The 65-year-old Reid is starting his 11th season with the Chiefs and his 25th season as a head coach in the NFL. He spent 14 years with the Philadelphia Eagles — the team the Chiefs beat in last year's Super Bowl — before resuming his career with Kansas City.

Reid is not talking about retirement despite his age and experience, and Chiefs owner Clark Hunt has not even thought about who will coach the Chiefs when Reid ultimately decides to call it a career. Hunt was asked if he thought about a replacement for Reid in the foreseeable future.

“I really don’t, and I hope I don’t for a long time,” Hunt quipped.

Andy Reid has built a 247-138-1 regular-season record as a head coach, and he has a 22-16 record in the postseason. He has led the Chiefs to 8 consecutive season with double-digit wins and he has never had a losing season in his time in Kansas City.
