Former All-Pro wide receiver Chad Johnson is quite confident Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will win the NFL MVP Award in 2021. So much so, he's willing to stake his own personal hygiene on it.

Johnson vowed not to take a shower for two whole months if Mahomes fails to earn MVP honors this upcoming season.

Lord help all those in Johnson's company should Mahomes fail to come through. Then again, the Chiefs star seems like a pretty darn good bet to win his second MVP.

A depleted Chiefs offensive line resulted in an utter horror show for Mahomes and the rest of Kansas City's offense in the Super Bowl. Naturally, general manager Brett Veach made some aggressive moves to upgrade the O-line.

The Chiefs signed former New England Patriots offensive lineman Joe Thuney, who can play just about every position but figures to play one of the guard spots. Kansas City also brought former Pro Bowl guard Kyle Long out of retirement.

The most impactful move came late last month, when the Chiefs acquired two-time Pro Bowler and emerging star tackle Orlando Brown Jr. from the Baltimore Ravens.

Suddenly, the Chiefs would appear to have one of the better offensive line units in football. That's good news for Mahomes as he comes off surgery to repair a turf toe issue.

The 25-year-old threw for 4,740 yards and 38 touchdowns against just six interceptions last season. He posted a career-high 92.9 total QBR while leading Kansas City to a 14-1 mark during the regular season.

All the weapons are intact, and the offensive line is a good bit deeper. Mahomes absolutely should be considered a top contender (maybe the top contender) for the 2021 MVP. Johnson certainly hopes that's the end result.
