Ahead of the AFC Championship game between the Buffalo Bills and the Kansas City Chiefs, ESPN unveiled a graphic showing Josh Allen as the better quarterback than Patrick Mahomes. The photo reached Mahomes after they manhandled the Bills, and he sent out a rather savage reaction to it.

On Twitter, Mahomes re-tweeted the ESPN graphic along with a yawning emoji as caption. Sure enough, the analysis did not age well after Mahomes and the Chiefs slaughtered the Bills, 38-24.

Patrick Mahomes had three touchdowns and completed 29-of-38 passes for 325 yards. Allen, for his part, threw two touchdowns and one interception on 28-of-48 completion for 287 yards.

As expected, Chiefs fans replied to Mahomes' reaction. One posted a ā€œreal-lifeā€ version of the emoticon with Mahomes sleeping soundly with his dog.

Another fan pulled out the classic Michael Jordan meme and photoshopped the face of the Chiefs QB onto it.

Another fan stretched his reference by pulling out a Dexter meme.

Critics pounced on Mahomes' savage response. One lambasted his first Super Bowl title, though a Chiefs fan came to Mahomes' defense.

A Bills supporter, meanwhile, pointed out that Allen is still not far behind Mahomes even though he lost. But again, another fan came to the rescue by emphasizing some of the highlights in Mahomes' resume.

Mahomes definitely hushed his critics after guiding the Chiefs to the Super Bowl. It just wasn't Allen and the Bills' season despite their stellar regular season.

As for ESPN, it's interesting who they'll pick between Mahomes and Tom Brady. Will they go for the living legend? Or will they pick the young gun who's already considered one hell of an elite QB?
