The Kansas City Chiefs have dominated the AFC West division for five straight years. They expect to continue that success in 2021 and with Patrick Mahomes locked in for the long haul, it'll be tough for anyone to knock them off the pedestal.

Last year, Los Angeles Chargers rookie quarterback Justin Herbert burst onto the scene in Week 2 against the Chiefs. In a game where he wasn't supposed to play, Herbert made the emergency start and threw for over 300 yards and a touchdown in a narrow overtime loss to Mahomes and Kansas City. There are huge expectations for LA coming into this season and some think it could be the Chargers that gives the Chiefs a run for their money in the division.

Mahomes participated in the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe and while walking up a fairway on Sunday, a fan warned him about Herbert. Let's just say Mahomes isn't buying the hype yet for the Chargers up-and-coming quarterback.

An absolutely cold-blooded response from the Chiefs' superstar quarterback. Mahomes can strut that way and say those things when he's already got MVP and Super Bowl hardware to back it up. Obviously, he meant it in good fun and even smiled after saying, “I'll see it when I believe it.”

Maybe Mahomes is already rattled by the Chargers young star, considering the saying is, “I'll believe it when I see it.”

Joking aside, the Chiefs are still the favorites to win the AFC West and rightfully so. But, the Chargers and Herbert could make things real interesting this season and moving ahead.
