The 2020 NFL Draft has come and gone, but there are still old draft takes being exposed on social media. On Monday morning, Kansas City Chiefs star Tyrann Mathieu roasted Bill Polian for his NFL Draft analysis on him.

Back in the 2013 NFL Draft, the current Chiefs safety was selected with the No. 69 pick by the Arizona Cardinals. Coming out of LSU, Mathieu put together one of the most impressive tapes for a prospect. However, the only reason he wasn't selected earlier in the draft was due to his character concerns off of the field.

While the Cardinals felt comfortable taking him in the third round, Polian wasn't a fan of the decision. It's safe to say that Polian was extremely wrong about his opinion on the LSU safety.

After arriving in Arizona, Mathieu rapidly became one of the most versatile defensive backs in the entire NFL. With the Cardinals, Mathieu would combine for 308 tackles, 41 pass breakups, and 11 interceptions in five seasons.

Last offseason, Mathieu would sign with the Kansas City Chiefs to help them improve in the secondary. In his lone season with the Chiefs, Mathieu would tally 75 tackles, 12 deflections, and four interceptions. Above all, Mathieu would aid Kansas City in winning their first Super Bowl since 1969.

At the same time, Mathieu is well-respected among his Chiefs' teammates and is a leader on and off the field. As he informed everyone on Twitter, he's been voted a team captain on three different teams.

When Mathieu was drafted by the Cardinals, some people — like Polian — believed Arizona was making a mistake. But after seven seasons in the NFL, Mathieu has silenced the doubters with his production on and off of the field with both the Cardinals and Chiefs.
