Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill has had issues creep up recently. A few days ago it was reported he was being investigated for a battery charge. Even worse, this isn't the first time he's had problems like that.

Now according to Darin Gantt of ProFootballTalk.com, the name Tyreek Hill had been circulating in the trade rumors before the charge.

Hill is one of the best wide receivers in the game. Therefore, it's not surprising to see the Kansas City Chiefs were apparently trying to sign him to a new contract. He's got the type of talent any team would love to have – as he definitely makes a quarterback's job a lot easier.

However, Hill's name was also supposedly being shopped around. This could be for the simple fact that the Chiefs weren't sure if the contract negotiations were going anywhere.

If a talent is good enough and you feel you have a decent chance at re-signing them opting for a trade is never a good idea. Take the risk that they'll end up coming back to the team.

A lot of teams tend to panic when a contract is coming up on it's final year though. It makes sense, as losing a top-tier talent for nothing is painful. Especially someone like Hill who, before the troubles, would've easily garnered a massive return.

It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. If Hill ends up not being disciplined, he could end up being placed on the trade block again. Things wouldn't be completely normal. He's probably hurt his future contracts a little bit, as well as his trade value, no matter what. However, it wouldn't make too massive of a difference.

If Hill is disciplined, everything changes. It also obviously depends on the severity of the discipline.

Whatever the case, things just got even more intriguing surrounding Tyreek Hill and the Kansas City Chiefs.
