Kansas City Chiefs quaterback Patrick Mahomes is already known for his ridiculous arm strength. Still, seeing him unleash it whenever his team plays remains a sight to behold. The Las Vegas Raiders were almost on the receiving of one such pass from the Super Bowl MVP. The 25-year old unloaded a 65-yard pass to running back Tyreek Hill through double coverage less than a minute into the Chiefs’ Week 5 game against the Raiders.

The ball from Patrick Mahomes found Hill in the end zone despite great coverage by the Raiders’ defense.

Unfortunately for the Chiefs and fortunately for the Raiders, the pass didn’t count as a touchdown due to a holding penalty. Still, if Patrick Mahomes is throwing lasers this early in a game, it could spell trouble for the Raiders, who are looking to bounce back from consecutive losses to the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills and improve their record to 3-2.

Kansas City and Patrick Mahomes, meanwhile, are looking to remain undefeated in five games, with their previous victory coming over the Patriots on Monday Night Football, 26-10.

Patrick Mahomes has picked up where he left off for the Chiefs a few months after leading the team to the Super Bowl title. In four games, the 2018 Most Valuable Player has completed 67.3% of his passes, has passed for 1134 yards, and 11 touchdowns, with an average 7.6 yards gained per attempt.

Even though his incredible throw early in the game against Las Vegas didn’t count as a touchdown pass, it’s still breathtaking to watch and at the same time the kind of passes we’ve come to expect from Patrick Mahomes.
